Study Purpose
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the endothelial markers (proteins) in the blood associated with blood vessels to see how they change with age in patients with Sickle Cell Disease. Overall, this study will help to improve our knowledge of the disease and may help us find better ways to treat sickle cell disease.
Who Can Participate
Participants 14-30 years of age and older with sickle cell disease may be eligible for this study. Adolescents and young adults without sickle cell disease are also needed for this study. Adolescents and young adults with sickle cell trait, and patients without sickle cell disease are also needed for this study.
