Biography

Dr. Adonis Hijaz is a urologic surgeon-scientist whose research focuses on understanding the mechanisms mediating the balance between injury and recovery following birth trauma, the role of human mesenchymal stem cells in recovery, and evaluation of the effects of aging on the balance and response to stem cell therapy. Dr. Hijaz has developed and published frequently on the subject of animal models of FSUI and their applications for translational research questions related to female stress urinary incontinence. Drs. Hijaz, Daneshgari and Chelimsky are active collaborators.
