Education & Training

Year One

The fellowship’s first year is dedicated to pediatric allergy/immunology (A/I). It begins with a two-day pollen-counting course and a month-long morning statistics course at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, complemented by clinical activities each afternoon. Fellows rotate through pediatric pulmonology, ENT, and dermatology at the acclaimed University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital.

Year Two

The fellowship’s second year of training focuses on adult A/I. It begins with a basic immunology course in Philadelphia sponsored by the American Academy of Immunology. Throughout the year, fellows rotate through adult pulmonology, ENT and dermatology at University Hospitals’ main campus, University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. Additionally, they perform one month of bone marrow transplantation and one month in the flow cytometry laboratory. Two months of research are also required.
