Why I chose UH Regional: I had a chance to rotate through with several attendings and residents, and loved the culture and the people at this program. I shadowed with Dr. Leone as a pre-med student, and was very excited to have an opportunity to continue learning from him and the rest of the team. Also, Cleveland is my favorite place!

Why I chose UH Regional: I felt the program, in general, had a family feel to it; everyone seemed to get along and enjoy being around each other, which I found to be an important aspect of my decision. Being affiliated with UH and getting experiences at different campuses, I knew that I would get the opportunity to explore my many interests and get a well-rounded education.

Why I chose UH Regional: UH Regionals gives you the community hospital feel in a large system. You have access to world class facilities and trainers nestled in the middle of a large city. I wanted the ability to live in the suburbs, but have access to the arts, entertainment, and fine dining.

Why I chose UH Regionals: I grew up in Cleveland and wanted to make my way back here for residency. I like how UH regionals FM is on the smaller size, but also has access to the resources of main campus. The diversity of patient populations at the various hospitals and practice settings in which we rotate is another plus. Finally, I like this program’s outpatient focus as this is the type of setting I want to practice in going forward.

Why I chose UH Regionals: The location of this program is near home for me, and I wanted to train in the same area I plan to stay in post residency. Additionally, UH Regionals offers a unique experience of exposing residents to a diverse patient population by working in both rural and urban locations. Because we are within University Hospitals, training at the Regional program provides the community hospital experience while still having the support of an academic institution. There’s an outpatient focus with great work life balance.
