Application Process

Residency Applications and Interviews

All interviews for the 2024-25 academic year will be virtual.

The University Hospitals Regionals Family Medicine Residency Program accepts PGY1 applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) .

Our program is listed as University Hospitals Community Consortium Program (UHCC/Regionals) Richmond Heights Family Medicine Residency in ERAS.

We select candidates through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). 

Our match code is 2189120C1.

You may receive information via email from us to schedule an interview with our program after your complete ERAS application has been received and reviewed.

Interviews

We typically offer up to eight interview days each year. 

Our typical interview day schedule is as follows:

  • Introductory presentation and talk by our Program Director
  • Interview with Program Director, Clinic Site Directors and Residents
  • Wrap up with interviewers
  • Q&A with residents

Decisions for candidates are made upon the basis of the best-qualified candidate without regard to race, color, national origin, age, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation or marital status in accordance with Federal and Ohio law.

How to schedule audition rotations with our program during your medical school training:

Please complete the Externship Application for Elective Rotations request. Be sure to contact us several months in advance in order to have time to coordinate a rotation with us.
