The University Hospitals Parma Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program offers a challenging and rewarding curriculum that promote competencies, skills and confidence needed for a successful career in Internal Medicine. Comprehensive clinical training by our dedicated teaching faculty is offered in the inpatient medicine unit, Intensive care unit, cardiac care unit, emergency department, continuity clinic, ambulatory clinics and amongst numerous elective rotations. This comprehensive approach allows our residents flexibility to pursue academic interests while also providing each resident a high-quality educational experience.

Residents often have opportunities to interact and teach medical students and interns in the clinic and hospital settings.

A sample of our didactic curriculum includes cardiology, pulmonary medicine, gastroenterology, nephrology, hematology/oncology, endocrinology, neurology, rheumatology and infectious disease. We also participate in medical simulation and skills procedure labs annually.
