The Case Western Reserve University / UH Plastic Surgery program seeks to maximize resident education and exposure through its affiliations with other institutions around the city.
MetroHealth Medical Center
The MetroHealth System was founded in 1837 with its primary mission to serve the vulnerable population, which has remained the same 180 years later. MetroHealth serves as our designated county hospital. It is a Level I Adult Trauma Center, a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and one of two adult and pediatric burn centers in the state of Ohio. As an academic medical center, all active MetroHealth staff hold a faculty appointment at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, greatly facilitating teaching and research.
The MetroHealth System is composed of four hospitals, four emergency departments, more than 20 health centers and 40 additional sites around Cuyahoga County. The main campus, MetroHealth Medical Center currently has over 700 beds and is undergoing a greater than $900 million transformation expected to finish in 2022.
Residents' involvement within the MetroHealth System includes the main campus as well as ambulatory surgery centers, such as MetroHealth Brecksville Ambulatory Surgery Center, located less than 15 minutes away from the main campus. Visit MetroHealth Plastic Surgery for more information.
