Susan Kimmel, MD
Dr. Susan Kimmel graduated from the Case Western Reserve University, University Hospitals of Cleveland Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship in 2011. The majority of her career has been dedicated to Inpatient Psychiatry and College Mental Health- treating undergraduate and graduate students with mental health concerns. Dr. Kimmel supervises psychiatry residents and medical students during their rotations in inpatient psychiatry and in the college mental health setting. Dr. Kimmel has an interest in violence on college campuses, and she has presented at several National Conferences regarding shooting on college campuses, including the American College Health Association. In addition, she also works one day a week in a correctional setting and supervises the forensic fellows working with her in a correctional setting. For the last five years, she has continued to work with Common Pleas Court Psychiatric Clinic where she primarily does Competency to Stand Trial and Sanity at the Time of the Act evaluations.
