Medicine Medical Education

The Department of Medicine at University Hospitals, in collaboration with Case Western Reserve University, has a long tradition of training some of the nation's leading physician-scientists. Our education programs consist of the Core Clerkship Program to provide training to medical students, our Internal Medicine Residency Program and our General Internal Medicine and specialty fellowship programs.

We are honored to announce that we have a 100 percent American Board of Internal Medicine success rate for 2018, and our fellowship Match Rate for the class of 2019 is 100 percent.

Harrington Fellows Program

The Harrington Fellows Award recognizes early to mid-career physician-scientist faculty within the Cleveland academic community. Up to two Harrington fellows are chosen each year through a competitive selection process.

Educational Programs in Clinical Research

The Department of Medicine has world-class scientists and clinicians engaged in basic, translational and clinical research. Our students come from diverse backgrounds, with different scientific and clinical interests, but share the desire to make an impact through their work and practice. We offer a Certificate Program, Master's Program and PhD in Clinical Research.
