Pulmonary Critical Care Clinical Training
The clinical training is dedicated to acquiring all cognitive and physical skills necessary to be an excellent pulmonary and critical care physician, including:
- In depth training in pulmonary disease within depth education in COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension and lung transplantation
- Training in cutting edge technologies for diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary conditions including electromagnetic navigation (EMV), endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), thermoplasty among others
- In depth training in critical care including medical, neurological, trauma, neurological, surgical and thoracic ICUs
The clinical components of the program include both the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center and UH Cleveland Medical Center. The entire Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship faculty mentors the trainees during their clinical training. Bi-annual formal evaluation is given through the program director and division chief.
