Dermatology Research Curriculum

Dermatology Residents Receive Dedicated Research Time

Dedicated time: Each resident has 2 months of dedicated time during their second year to participate in research.

Depth and breadth of projects: A wide variety of research is being conducted in the department, from basic science to clinical, including clinical trials. The Skin Study Center offers support for conducting research. See Clinical Research for more information about research.

Research retreat: Residents participate in a yearly department-wide research retreat, at which they present their projects and learn about other research being conducted by their colleagues within the department.

Academic track: A 2+2 research track is available for those residents who are interested. This involves two clinically-focused years and two research-focused years.
