Senior Scams and How to Avoid Them

Older adults are especially vulnerable to scams and various forms of abuse. When physical and cognitive health declines occur, risk factors increase. Healthcare professionals are in a unique position to intervene and help to prevent and report such abuse. This program will teach about current scams seniors are facing. Intervention strategies will be described to support older adults and their caregivers to protect themselves. Various local, regional and national resources will also be highlighted.
