Seizures or Spells in Babies and Children
Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM
What to look for, when to see a pediatric neurologist and what questions to ask at the appointment
A seizure can occur in a baby or child when the brain, which uses small amounts of electricity to tell other parts of the brain and the body what to do, experiences a sudden, large burst of electricity for some unknown reason. This interrupts the brain’s normal activities, causing a change in behavior and level of alertness. This event, sometimes referred to as a spell, is a seizure.
Join Jennifer Waldron, MD, pediatric neurologist at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s, for a free webinar. Dr. Waldron will discuss how to identify seizures, the signs to look for, when to see a pediatric neurologist and how to prepare for the appointment.
The event is free but registration is required.
