J. Simon Mazza-Lunn, PhD

J. Simon Mazza-Lunn, PhD, is a Project Manager at Harrington Discovery Institute (HDI). He provides project management support to Harrington scholars, while working closely with the Innovation Support Center strategic advisors to accelerate discovery and development of funded programs. Simon has over 10 years of experience in both academic and industry environments, with a strong background in neurosciences.

Simon received his PhD from the University of Dundee, UK. He completed his postdoctoral training at the University of Michigan. While at the University of Michigan, Simon established a BioBank of primary patient tissues to help researchers develop future therapies.

Simon joined HDI in December 2018. Prior to joining the institute, Simon served as Director of Laboratory operations at Renovo Neural, a CRO focused on pre-clinical efficacy studies for multiple sclerosis. While at Renovo, Simon managed all client related studies, as well as directing internal research and development efforts. Simon’s main research interests are in regenerative approaches to treat neurodegenerative disorders.
