Title: Emergency Medicine Services (EMS)
Location: Med-University Hospitals
Description: The Division of Prehospital and Disaster Medicine offers an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) rotation for fourth-year medical students. By providing medical direction for four local EMS agencies, University Hospitals Critical Care Transport, and University Hospitals MedEvac, the Division will be able to provide the student with a wide range of prehospital opportunities. The rotation can be tailored to each student’s interests. The elective is only available as a four-week rotation. There are height and weight requirements to fly. Flying is also optional. Exposure to hospital emergency management and disaster medicine activities may also be available. A car is required for travel to the bases.
