Meet our Provider Value Network Team
The members of the University Hospitals provider value network team are available to help referring physicians navigate through the referral process, address specific issues or concerns, and help facilitate communication between referring physicians and UH specialists. Our knowledgeable team is happy to assist physicians with any problems that may arise and to help make the referral process go as smoothly as possible. We look forward to working with individual physicians and their staff to help them form and maintain meaningful relationships with University Hospitals.
Rhonda Allen-Scott, Supervisor, Provider Value Network | East Region
Rhonda Allen-Scott possesses solid background in business development and marketing communications in the health care industry. Prior to joining UH, Rhonda worked in the payer industry, managing marketing and outreach efforts with physicians and community stakeholders with a nationally ranked insurance carrier. Enriching her perspective of the health care market space, and the patient experience is the time she spent working in physician outreach and marketing roles at a community based health care system. It was during this time that Rhonda developed a strong sense of commitment to health care and its impact on the community it’s privileged to serve. Rhonda has spent 20+ years in service –related industries, leading strategic marketing and product launch initiatives, including the design and implementation of client satisfaction and process improvement programs in healthcare and environmental services. She is a graduate of the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business & Organizational Communications with a special focus in Public Relations.

Jason Lansdale, Supervisor, Provider Value Network | West Region
Jason joined University Hospitals in August, 2013. He has a strong background in physician business development and in cardiovascular service line marketing. He has served in a variety of roles including marketing with large academic medical centers and more recently with a Cleveland-based biotechnology startup. Prior to entering the healthcare industry Jason spent 7 years with a Fortune 500 technology company in both marketing and field sales support roles and began his career in wireless telecommunications. Jason is a graduate of Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He currently serves on the Wright State University Alumni Association Board of Directors and is an active member of the American Association of Physician Liaisons (AAPL).

Sarah Frey, Senior Provider Value Network Strategist
Sarah joined University Hospitals in September 2010 as a Marketing Strategist in UH Physician Services. While at UH Physician Services, Sarah implemented marketing strategies for new University Hospitals’ specialists and primary care physicians, including interpersonal networking, developing print materials and coordinating community events. She transitioned to the role of Physician Liaison for UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in May 2014. Sarah is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University and has a Masters of Arts in Mass Communications and Journalism, with a concentration in Public Relations from Kent State University.

Anna Kachevas, Senior Provider Value Network Strategist
Anna joined University Hospitals in 2014 as a Pediatrics Practice Manager for a UH Rainbow Pediatrics practice on Cleveland’s west side. She managed all aspects of the practice. Implemented team building, coaching, training and problem solving for staff and patients. Prior to joining UH she developed and executed formal marketing strategies and customer service programs for healthcare providers in Iowa and Ohio. She transitioned to the role of Physician Liaison for UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in October 2015. She is a graduate from Loras College in Dubuque, IA with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

Rachel Hanna, Provider Value Network Strategist
Rachel joined University Hospitals in 2012 as the Marketing Activities Coordinator in UH Physician Services. She has served in a variety of roles both with the community and as an extension of a physician team and understands the importance of programs aimed to improve outcomes and patient care. Rachel has worked in collaboration with physicians, nurses, medical staff, and hospital leadership using a practice-tailored approach to provide education, outreach, tools, training, and quality improvement initiatives. In her previous role, Rachel managed the Great Lakes Regional Prevention Council aimed to provide evidence-based child abuse and neglect prevention programs to at-risk families within the Great Lakes Region. She transitioned to the role of Provider Value Network Strategist for University Hospitals in January 2021. Rachel is a graduate of Kent State University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a Masters of Education in Community Health Education and Promotion.

Maurice Lucious, Provider Value Network Strategist
Maurice joined University Hospitals in March 2012 as a Patient Account Specialist working to resolve insurance claims along the billing spectrum. Prior to joining University Hospitals Maurice spent 7 years working for a cardiovascular practice in Beaufort, South Carolina as an Office Lead, responsible for many different administrative and leadership roles. In September 2014 Maurice joined the University Hospitals Accountable Care Organization in a Practice Navigator role. As a Practice Navigator he worked directly with patients removing barriers of care, improving access to services, teaching tobacco cessation courses, and participating in system-wide campaigns for healthcare initiatives. Maurice then worked as a Practice Lead beginning in May 2019 until transitioning into Population Health in January 2021 as a Provider Value Network Strategist. Maurice is a graduate of Walden University with a Bachelors in Healthcare Management, currently working towards a Master’s in Public Health.

Lexxus Brown, Provider Value Network Strategist
Lexxus Brown joined the UH Population Health team in November 2019. Prior to coming to UH, Lexxus worked in Community Health Education, Maternal Child Health, and Reproductive and Sexual Health. Lexxus held positions at local health departments and a nonprofit health clinic. Lexxus assisted vulnerable populations throughout Central and Northeast Ohio by identifying health needs, service gaps, and barriers to eliminate health inequities. Lexxus is dedicated to achieving better health outcomes by implementing quality improvement initiatives and addressing the social determinants of health. Lexxus holds a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University and a Master of Public Health from Northeast Ohio Medical University.

Heather Ligus, Senior Provider Value Network Strategist
Heather brings years of provider relations experience to University Hospitals and the UH Quality Care Network team since she joined in October 2016. In her role at UH, she oversees network contractual relationships as well as the overall network strategy. Additionally, as a Senior Provider Value Network Strategist, she works with providers to enhance network integrity and quality. Previously, she was a provider relations representative for Crossroads Hospice, she specialized in educating professionals and the greater community about resources for end of life care. Heather is active in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, Parma Rotary Club Board, Parma Area Chamber of Commerce, the Westside Healthcare Organization Board, Cleveland Bridge Builders, as well as The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Campaign. She is a frequent speaker on various senior care and wellness topics. Heather received her MBA in healthcare administration from Baldwin Wallace University in 2013 and graduated Summa CumLaude from Kent State University with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.

Tricia Upton, Provider Value Network Strategist
Tricia joined University Hospitals in November 2019 as a Practice Transformation Facilitator (PTF) in UH Population Health. As a PTF, Tricia facilitated quality improvement with primary care practices and coached on internal goals and clinical quality metrics. She transitioned to the role of Provider Value Network Strategist for UH Population Health in March 2021. Tricia has an extensive background in healthcare, including quality, care coordination, radiologic technology, and retail pharmacy. Tricia is currently studying healthcare administration as a doctoral student and holds a Master’s in Public Health from Kent State University.
