Asim Shahid, MD is the Division of Child Neurology and Epilepsy Chief at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital and an associate professor of pediatrics. He is also the Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit Director. His primary focus is on pediatric epilepsy, electroencephalography, and medically intractable epilepsies, requiring both medical and surgical management.
Dr. Shahid is an active member of multiple national societies and multinational foundations. He established a Tuberous Sclerosis Clinic, a part of the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance in 2018, and serves as the program's medical director. Dr. Shahid's research interests include new treatment options for Dravet and Lennox-Gastaut syndromes.
Dr. Shahid graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana, followed by a pediatric residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, New Jersey. He received his pediatric neurology training at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, University Hospitals of Cleveland, and completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology, epilepsy track at University Hospitals of Cleveland.

We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
