This was the first time I saw this doctor who is a specialist in Rheumatology. . His office was referred by my primary doctor for my symptoms of arthritis. There was a lot of blood tests and medical records for him to get familiar within a short period of time. I am satisfied with this visit and more tests and a future office visit has been scheduled. I believe he is very knowledgeable and would recommend him.

Dr. Ahmad was amazing. I like him a lot more than my last Rheumatologist. He took the time to listen to my concerns and provided a treatment plan. This is something that I didn't get with my last Rheumatologist and it definitely gave me hope. Would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Ahmad is a kind and compassionate professional. His assistant was very warm and friendly. The front desk, managed my visit in a timely manner, but was not very engaging. They were too busy at the reception desk as I was leaving for me to reset my next appointment.

This whole building and all its staff are amazing. To be able to get x rays and blood work done at the stop is wonderful. Dr Ahmad listens and when I feel a medication is bad for me, he respects me enough to make a modification if we both agree.

I am so pleased with my choice for Dr Ahmed, he is very caring and understanding and wants to get me back on track with my health.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
