About
Jon Zande, MD is an Assistant Professor in Neurology with Case Western Reserve University and the Program Director of the Epilepsy Fellowship at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. Jon hails from the great state of Michigan, where he grew up and completed his undergraduate degrees in Music and Neuroscience at the University of Michigan. He trained as an EMT in New York City before returning home for medical school with the MSU College of Human Medicine. He then moved to Ohio to complete his internship, Neurology residency, and Epilepsy fellowship training at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, where he is now on staff with the Epilepsy Department.
He is honored to be part of the storied Epilepsy community in Northeast Ohio and serve patients whose lives have been disrupted by electrical issues of the brain. His interests include epilepsy semiology, epilepsy surgery, and the intersections of music and epilepsy. Throughout his medical career, he has been recognized for his commitment to patient advocacy and professionalism. He strives to maintain solid doctor-patient relationships in the fast-paced era of modern medicine.
While he will always be a Wolverine from Motown, he’s loved taking advantage of the rich and eclectic music scene in the City of Rock and Roll and revels in Guardians baseball. He enjoys history, traveling, classic cinema, and spending time with his family in his spare time.
