Dr Villabona has been my primary for past 15 y - while I switched most of my health care to the Clinic - I did not want to leave Dr Villabona. I'm 76 - I'm a nurse - Dr Villabona has been the best MD since I was 3 yo - I respect her and would recommend her to anyone - they would be lucky to have her.

Dr. Villabona has been my PCP for at least 20 yrs. I trust her & know that she has my best care as a priority. She takes her time & answers my questions responding with respect & kindness. I worked at UH for 22 years as a medical coder & am a breast cancer survivor. Dr. Villabona called me at home during my surgery recovery to just check & see how I was and that meant a lot to me. She is a good dr. & truly cares about her patients.

I always get the upmost attention and care from Dr. Villabona. She is always prompt in letting me know results of any tests also. I see her probably three times a year which is important at my age to be on top of any issues I may have. Her assistant, ***, is excellent also.

Dr. Villabona considered my specific medical history as we settled on a treatment plan for me. I was not just a cookie cutter senior citizen to apply a protocol to. She was clear and very specific on how to proceed and gave me options if the plan didn't work out for me. I was very happy with our visit.

Claudia Villabona is a wonderful family doctor. She spends enough time with me and explains everything. We discuss any changes in my medication so that we both understand. I feel blessed that she is my doctor and I travel an hour and a half to see her because she is worth it and there are not many doctors in my rural community.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
