About

Mackenzie Vaclav, PA-C, is a physician assistant within the Department of Orthopedic Spine Surgery at University Hospitals. She is also a First Lieutenant, medical officer, within the United States Army. Mackenzie obtained her undergraduate degree at The University of Akron and her physician assistant degree at Ohio University. Mackenzie is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Ohio Academy of Physician Assistants and Physician Assistants of Orthopedic Surgery.

Mackenzie specializes in treatment of all disorders involving the spine, including the cervical, thoracic and lumbar region. She has a focused approach with her patients and provides them the necessary referrals and/or advanced imaging studies needed to get them relief and answers.

Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and two dogs. If she isn’t in her garden or on the lake fishing, she is usually at her CrossFit gym working out.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities.
