This was my first time meeting Dr. Sinopoli and team. I was very nervous but they were GREAT! They explained everything to me and my family. The doctor took her time and drew a picture to explain my condition and ways to fix it. I left the appointment feeling like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. Such a great experience.

Dr. Jillian Sinopoli was excellent. But of the nurses that provided me care down at the main campus UH hospital in *** Half of them provided me with the worst care possible.

Dr. Sinopili listened to all of my medical concerns as well as her nurse and made me feel very comfortable opening up to them. They showed compassion and respect for the importance of my concerns and indicated to me that they would research my concerns to see what answers they could come up with. Dr. Sinopili explained in detail my health condition in a way that made me feel safe and not worried. Any questions I had about my condition I was given a response that made my understanding of my condition very clear.

Dr. Jillian Sinopoli is a very thorough thoracic surgeon. She is kind, explains everything in detail, asks questions, answers my questions or concerns, and she also listens taking my thoughts about my health into consideration. She is a favorite doctor, because of her qualifications, concerns, and bedside manner!

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.

As of December 31, 2016, Jillian Sinopoli did not disclose any Outside Relationships with Industry.
