Babak Moini, MD, has been practicing outpatient internal medicine at University Hospitals since 2015. Dr. Moini continues to combine a passion for outpatient medicine with medical education, with his clinic serving as a continuity site for the residency and a training site for medical students. Dr. Moini lives in Shaker Heights with his wife, two sons, and three dogs. He enjoys competing in triathlon races in his spare time and has completed many Olympic and Ironman 70.3 races since finishing his residency.
“I practice evidence-based Western medicine using appropriate medications and interventions. I also focus on helping my patients improve their health by learning how to replace their unhealthy habits with healthy ones. As a recreational triathlete and healthy living enthusiast, I use my personal passion for healthy living and my medical expertise to help my patients improve their health.
“I spend time with each patient to learn about their lifestyle, then together we focus on making small, practical and incremental changes in their nutrition, exercise and other aspects of health like sleep and mental health. My goal is help my patients use healthy choices as a primary tool to prevent disease and improve chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and joint pain.”
Patient Experience Reviews
The provider himself took me to the exam room so I never saw a nurse or asst. He was wonderful- saw me quickly dx my issue and saw me out. Couldn't have asked for better service
Dr. Mohini is very professional talk to me about my problem and give me a solution
Good
Dr. Moini communicates his interest in me as a patient and knows my medical background. I would like him to talk a little slower and sometimes spend a few more minutes for ne to explain my concerns.
For most of my visit, I saw a resident (?) who was working with Dr. Moini. I thought she was outstanding! She was very thorough, explained why she asked me some questions (which are required for Medicare patients), and listened very carefully.
I was able to be seen for an appointment right away. I'm grateful for the immediate care needed.
Excellent and always good to see them.
I really appreciate the new policy which has the nurse schedule your next appointment without having to return to the reception desk.
MY FIRST TIME SEEING THIS DOCTOR BUT HE PUT ME AT EASE AND I WILL CONTINUE TO SEE HIM.
Dr Moini is very personable and puts you at ease during the exam

This was my first visit with Dr. Moini, because my previous physician, Dr. ***, is no longer with UH. Dr. Moini was a referral, & I was very impressed & comfortable with him. He was thorough with what I should be doing before our next visit, & we scheduled an appointment for my next visit.
Excellent care
I am very pleased with Dr Moini as he always listen to my concerns and provide clear and concise answers. He is honest when addressing my health, and as I explained to him, I wouldn't have it any other way, as I always want my doctor to be honest and me regardless of the issues.
Dr Moini is an excellent physician and I am very pleased to have him as my primary doctor.
My previous PCP left UHHS. I was given several new Physicians to choose from. Did my research, decided on Dr Moini. Very glad I did. Great bedside manner. Seems very knowledgeable. This is a win!

Love the doctor!
This was my first visit with Dr. Moini, to establish him as my new pcp. Therefore, It Is difficult for me to truly judge some of the info requested above. It was, however, a very positive experience. And, since that visit, Dr. Moini has quickly and professionally handled all my requests regarding medications In order for me to prepare for admission to CCF for cardiac care. I am very pleased with our communication and how he has responded to my medical needs. I look forward to a very good patient-doctor relationship.
When I saw Dr. Moini and described to him what was going on he knew right away what the issue was and we addressed it accordingly. I really like him and I think he is a good fit for me, I think he has my best interest in mind. Thank you

I feel very comfortable during visits with Dr. Moini. He has a casual, friendly demeanor which makes me think I can ask him anything and be as frank and honest as I need to be. He spent time with me recently explaining a new heart condition I was diagnosed with. He gave me plenty of his time. He answered all my questions and offered me his personal support.
Babak Moini, MD is an excellent provider.
Great provider who I felt comfortable with
Thank goodness I could see him. I needed a physician to translate diagnosis and testing decisions made by an NP at UH.
This appointment was made due to my doctor being out on maternity leave. I was extremely impressed with Dr Moini's knowledge and professionalism during my appointment. I have already referred him to several family and friends. Excellent doctor!

At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities.
