Kia is amazing. I've seen *** other practitioners during this pregnancy and she's by far my favorite. She makes me feel empowered and cared for. She listens thoroughly and genuinely seems to care about my concerns and well being. She provides information clearly and thoroughly. As a first time mom, I couldn't ask for a better provider through pregnancy!

Throughout my pregnancy, I've seen several different providers and no one makes me feel more heard, respected, and supported the way that Kia does. It's scary becoming a new mom, and she seems to truly care about my concerns and thoughtfully answers each question with empathy, providing resources and information when I need it. I can't sing her praises enough. I truly hope she's in delivery room when baby comes!

It was refreshing to have my consultation with Dr. Kia Hollis. She was so caring and explained what medication has as ingredients, then she told me hold to apply it and what to expect. She identified issues that were not already uploaded in my UH Health Care plan which alerted me to the fact that my doctor would be calling for some identifying lab results. My Internal Medicine doctors' nurse called 2 days later. I was really impressed with working with a Midwife. She seemed much more caring than my other gynecologists. That's why I will stay with her forever. This is a great employee.

I felt very comfortable at this visit, she was amazing, exceptional. I called my Mother after the visit because I couldn't believe how great she was for my first time with her. I'm excited and confident that I have an amazing, intelligent woman involved in my health care. Thanks for everything

I really liked how she explained everything that could go wrong and the reason why I had to be induced.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.

As of December 31, 2016, Kia Hollis did not disclose any Outside Relationships with Industry.
