I have been seen by Dr. Bruno for the past two years. When I first saw her I was very sick and had a cancer diagnosis. Dr. Bruno has been there when ever I needed her. If she was not available someone from her team was. I am doing well on the Immunotherapy she proscribed for my type of cancer. I am very grateful to her and all the staff at UH Minhoff Center/.

DR. BRUNO IS KNOWLEDGEABLE, PROFESSIONAL AND KIND, FRIENDLY AND SHOWS GENUINE CONCERN FOR MY HEALTH AND WELFARE. I ENJOY THE FOLLOWUP APPOINTMENTS WITH HER. WE TALK ABOUT THE CT SCANS AND BLOODWORK AND MY OVERALL WELL BEING. SHE IS TOP SHELF. I MIGHT ADD, JEN GELSKE, HER NURSE ASSISTANT ALSO APPLIES TO ALL THE ABOVE.

The first visit with Dr Bruno was to go over results of my Pet Scan. She explained in understanding language what the results were and my options. Dr. Bruno said to go home think about what I wanted to do. On *** I had a virtual visit with Dr. Bruno and she took all the time I needed to discuss and ask more questions. I decided to go into Hospice care and Dr.Bruno was very compassionate in explaining everything. I would highly recommend her to others. As a side note. I never minded waiting for any appointments at UH. It was nice that the doctors would take all the time I needed.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
