Brittany Baird Behm, DO, practices family medicine at the Chagrin Falls office of University Hospitals Bainbridge Primary Care. A native of Charleston, West Virginia, Dr. Behm attended West Virginia Wesleyan College, graduating cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2007. She then attended the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM), where she earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2011. Dr. Behm completed a traditional rotating internship in 2012 at LewisGale Hospital-Montgomery (Blacksburg, Virginia). She then completed a family medicine residency in 2014 at Atrium Health Union Family Practice (Charlotte, North Carolina) where she served as Chief Resident.
Prior to joining University Hospitals in 2021, Dr. Behm worked as a family physician at Atrium Health Union Family Practice for nine years. She served as Family Medicine Vice Chief on the Atrium-Union Hospital Medical Executive Committee. Her professional interests include preventative care, women’s health, orthopedics, dermatology, chronic disease management, cradle-to-the-grave care and community medicine. Among other honors and awards, Dr. Behm received NCQA recognition for delivering high quality diabetes care in 2020, NCAFP Outstanding Family Medicine Resident in 2013, and a tuition waiver award at WVSOM in 2010. Dr. Behm is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association and the American Osteopathic Association.
Dedicated to serving the community through the provision of exceptional family medicine, Dr. Behm enjoys caring for patients of all ages. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs. She also loves running, biking, skiing, traveling and West Virginia sports.

Dr. Behm and *** at the front desk were very good! *** called me about my appointment and always looks out for my best interests and taking care of health. Dr. Behm listens to all my questions, concerns and gives me thorough explanations of what is going on with my health and explains medication if needed etc. Very personable doctor which is also important!
Dr. Behm has been my primary doctor for 2 years and she is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to about whatever is bothering me. She has always advised me about taking or discontinuing medications that I need. Both my husband and I see her at the same time, and he is comfortable and happy with her being our primary. Dr. Behm is great and we will continue to see her for our medical needs.

Dr. Behm listened carefully and suggested a new approach which makes a great deal of sense and I am following up with appointments with specialists. She really seemed to look at the whole of me not just the immediate issue and I think she saw something other doctors I have talked to have missed. I will be coming back in 3 months, hopefully with some real progress to report. In the mean time I know she and her team are just a phone call and a short drive away.
She is on top of my medical issues, and her care has most likely save my live. She is professional, informative, caring and kind.

Happy with Dr Behm and staff as a new patient and all the other doctors who I've been referred to. Dr Behm on first visit and results of initial blood tests immediately had me go to 3 other specialists for care. Turns out I have cirrhosis ov the liver yet no former primary doctor had sent me to a liver specialists despite years of test results indicating I had liver problems. The liver doctor, Cohen, I recently went to couldn't believe I hadn't been sent to a liver doctor before now. Thanks, Dr Behm.

She has concerns which she addressing one by one. I find her to be careful and not jump Into conclusions, but Is careful to follow up after each test. She has adjusted my meds and prescribed new ones as needed. She is attentive, kind and thorough.

The doctor really spent the time answering my questions and did not try to rush through my care like I have had with other doctors in the past. She was knowledgeable, current with good medical practices and knowledge of relevant studies and was very friendly/kind in her manner towards me.
