Voices are like fingerprints. They are how we identify a person. They are also the way we communicate our ideas, our emotions and our personality. Voice disorders are common for anyone, but especially teachers, manufacturing/factory workers, salespersons, and singers, and yet people don’t often seek treatment. Our voices can also change as part of aging.

Join otolaryngologist, Nicole Maronian, MD and speech language pathologist Tracey Newman, MA, CCC-SLP for a discussion on keeping your valuable voice, healthy. The discussion will cover the basic function of the vocal cords, the effects of aging on the voice, how to avoid or improve the voice if one sees these effects and when one needs to see the doctor.
