Generous Giving to Rainbow Radiothon Gives Patients a Better Future

Rainbow Radiothon: Ryan

Rainbow Radiothon, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraiser, shares inspirational stories of love, hope and compassion featuring young patients like Ryan (pictured above), their families and the dedicated staff who care for them.

The 2014 Rainbow Radiothon campaign has ended, but you can still make a difference! Donations are accepted year-round for this annual fundraiser, which expanded last year to include two successful events. Broadcast live by radio partners Cleveland’s New 102.1 FM and La Mega 87.7 FM, the two campaigns have raised more than $400,000 to benefit valuable programs and services at UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital.

Among 2014 Rainbow Radiothon’s highlights:

  • Thanks to the generosity of 472 Miracle Makers, every Rainbow patient received a plush Special Edition Rainbow Care Bear during the two Radiothons. Miracle Makers are donors who pledge $20 or more a month for one year.
  • More than 900 individual gifts poured in to Rainbow Radiothon through phone calls from the community to radio partners La Mega 87.7 FM and Cleveland’s New 102.1FM and through generous giving by UH physicians and employees.

Since its inception in 2003, Rainbow Radiothon has inspired more than $3 million in giving. Donations are vital to UH’s efforts to provide the highest quality care to pediatric patients and their families.
