Evening Before Your Interview (casual attire)
6:30 p.m. - Several of the residents will meet you in the lobby of the Glidden House to drive you to the dinner and back. On the way, the residents will drive you past the hospital so you know where to go the next morning. In addition, you will also pass by some of the residents’ favorite places in Cleveland, as mentioned throughout this website.
Interview Day Schedule (business attire)
7:00 a.m. - Meet in the University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital Lobby
The main entrance to UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital is located on Adelbert Road. If you are driving, please park in the UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital Visitors Garage, it’s just past UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital’s main entrance. We will provide you with a parking pass when you leave so parking will be free.
7:15 a.m.-8:15 a.m. - Welcome Session with Continental Breakfast
You will meet with one of our Program Directors who will provide you with information and highlights on our program. If you have questions that you are not able to ask during this session, you will have time later in the day when you meet the program director during your brief one-on-one meeting.
8:15 a.m.-8:45 a.m. - Morning Conference
You will be able to observe and participate in our morning conference, which may be a Pediatric Educational Didactics Series (PEDS) session, a journal club or a Patient Management conference.
9:00 a.m.-10:15 a.m. - Faculty Interviews
This is your opportunity to discuss your experiences, future plans, and ask questions about UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital. Although we are unable to provide you with advanced notice of who your interviewers will be, if you informed us of a subspecialty interest, we will do our best to match you with a faculty member from that subspecialty.
10:15 a.m.-10:45 a.m. – Rounds
You will spend some time with one of the teams observing morning rounds.
10:45 a.m.-11:45 a.m. - Hospital Tour
One of our residents or chief residents will take you on a tour of our beautiful facility.
11:45 a.m.-12:00 p.m.- Break
12:00 p.m.- 12:30 p.m. – Cleveland Our City!
Yes, we have four beautiful seasons and we will share all of the wonderful things our city has to offer you and your family.
12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. - Lunch with the Residents
Relax and spend some time talking with residents about our program, their experience here, things to do in Cleveland, and more. The program director will meet briefly with each applicant individually as a wrap up to the day and to answer any additional questions.
1:30 p.m. - End of Day
We will take you back to the UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital Lobby
