UH Conneaut Medical Center offers room service dining
Return |
University Hospitals Conneaut Medical Center has recently instituted new room service guidelines designed to further enhance the patient experience during a patient's stay at the hospital. The new program is called "At Your Request," and the goal is to provide a more comfortable stay with enhanced services focused on more dining options that also incorporate nutritional guidelines.
- Requests are taken between 7 a.m.–6 p.m.
- Family members who wish to eat with patients may also purchase trays for $5 each or dine in our full service bistro located on the first floor.
- Menu can be adapted to meet special nutritional needs
- Patients can order what they want, when they want it; anytime during service hours
- If your doctors has prescribed a modified diet, some items may be altered or substituted in order for you to enjoy your favorite foods
- Certain tests require you not eat for a period of time. After returning to your room patients can place their order and have their meal delivered
- Meals can be pre-ordered by informing the room service operator
- Food is delivered within 45 minutes of placing the order
- For diabetic management, timing of blood sugar checks and medication is critical to keeping blood sugar as normal as possible
- Our dietitian works with each patient to assist in the management of their nutritional needs
The menu also contains symbols to alert patients of high salt food (a salt shaker), healthy choice foods (a heart), and the number of carbohydrates in choices is listed for those tracking carbohydrate exchanges. |
