Hospitalists are on-site, board certified or board eligible physicians who specialize in caring for patients over the age of 16 during their hospital stay. The expanded Hospitalist Program at University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center, A Campus of UH Regional Hospitals provides a regular rotation of dedicated physician coverage for inpatients 24 hours a day.
From admission through discharge, your Hospitalist monitors your progress and oversees every aspect of your daily care. He or she becomes your attending physician, managing every condition that may affect you, including heart and lung disease, gastrointestinal problems, kidney and endocrine disorders, diabetes and stroke.
Your highly trained Hospitalist also focuses on keeping you and your primary care physician and specialists informed of your progress. This collaboration optimizes communication and efficiency… and our ability to enhance your total care experience at UH Richmond Campus of UH Regional Hospitals.
