Don Reis has been working on his classic muscle car for years. Until recently, he's also been dealing with hypertension. On September 27, 2005 his condition changed. His long-time UH family physician, well aware of Don's history, made an assessment and sent him directly to University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center.
There, nationally recognised specialists identified the blockage through state-of-the-art digital imaging. UH doctors gave Don an artery-clearing stent that same day. Later that year, a second surgery was necessary to restory normal circulation. And, on September 27, 2006, a year to the day form the visit to his family doctor, Don received a pacemaker.
Today, with his health restored, Don is back to his favourite hobby: restoring his '66 GTO.
