Woman, 102, keeping busy after eye surgery

Mary Neiderhauser is a celebrity in her own community. At 102 years old she is living better than most half her age. The Rocky River resident recently had to have cataract surgery at University Hospitals. The operation, done by Dr. Anna Singh, was needed because her cataract had calcified and she was not able to read the newspaper or work on crossword puzzles anymore. She was reading the newspaper using a magnifying glass, but since the surgery she is able to see with reading glasses.

Cornea transplants restore young woman's sight

When she was in eighth grade, Antoinette Baldwin started running into doors and walls which were right in front of her.

By the time Antoinette went in for cornea transplant surgery, she was legally blind. After several complications, and two kinds of transplants, Antoinette can see almost perfectly today.
