Young Cancer Center Investigator Awarded Two Research Grants
Congratulations to Dr. Alex Huang, Assistant Professor of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at CWRU/UH who is the recent recipient of two prestigious research grants.
Dr. Huang was granted the Investigator Award by the Cancer Research Institute for his project Two-photon Imaging of Tumor Milieu: High-definition In Situ Visualization of Dynamic Immune Cell Recruitment, Priming and Tumor-Immune Cell Interaction. The Investigator Award Program supports accomplished assistant professors undertaking their first independent investigations in cancer immunology or general immunology. Dr. Huang also recently received funding from the Dana Foundation Program in Brain and Immuno-Imaging for his project Dynamic intravital 2-photon Imaging of Perivascular T cell-Antigen Presenting Cell Interaction During Induction of Acute Experimental Autoimmune Encephalo-myelitis. The Dana Foundation’s imaging research program focuses on improving human brain and immune system functioning in health and disease.
