For a 26-year old surgical assistant, the pain started from her shoulder blade and went all the way down the arm, followed by numbness all the way down the arm to her fingertips. An MRI of her neck pinpointed where she had specific pressure on the nerve in her neck from a bulging disc. Dr. Furey surgically removed the disk to relieve the pressure on her nerves.
