NIH Funding
The basic neuroscience community is currently ranked in the top 15% in the country for NIH funding. Many of the investigators in the Translational Neuroscience Center have research budgets in excess of $500,000/year.
Collaboration welcome
Our research efforts coordinate and/or parallel with many National Institutes of Health studies. We welcome inquiries from potential collaborators.
Translational Neuroscience Center
The Translational Neuroscience Center provides a comprehensive link between physicians in the Neurological Institute and research scientists so that new approaches to the treatment of major neurological disorders can be developed through interaction, education and training.

In conventional research institutions, it often it takes many years before research findings are translated to the care of patients. The goal of the Translational Neuroscience Center is to promote new treatments to patients who need them as rapidly as possible.
