Leading-Edge Research Investigation
Leading-Edge InvestigationThe Neurosciences Critical Care Center participates in numerous clinical trials benefiting current and future critically ill patients.
Among current trials are the following NIH-sponsored studies:
ATACH
(Antihypertensive Treatment in Acute Cerebral Hemorrhage)
ALIAS
(Albumin in Acute Ischemic Stroke trial)
IMS
(Interventional Management of Stroke) III – Studying the management of acute ischemic stroke with interventional or angiographically based treatment
ARUBA
(A Randomized Trial of Unruptured Brain AVMs) – to study the natural history of AVMs. Our participation in trials gives patients the opportunity to receive new therapeutic treatments that may not be available elsewhere.
