
The Neurological Institute’s Neuromuscular Center is based at UH Case Medical Center in Cleveland but also serves patients at locations throughout the community for evaluations, electromyography (EMG) testing and autonomic testing.
Our mission is to provide excellent, comprehensive services with emphasis on a patient-first environment to meet physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
Our center programs provide specialized care and include: Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) program, Autonomic Disorders Interdisciplinary program, Autonomic laboratory, EMG laboratory, Myasthenia Gravis program and Muscular Disease program.

Neuromuscular Disorders: - Myasthenia Gravis
- Peripheral Neuropathy
- Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) - Lou Gehrig's Disease
- Polymyositis/Dermatomyositis

- Guillain-Barre Syndrome
- Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy
- Entrapment Neuropathies - Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Ulnar Nerve Entrapment

Autonomic Disorders:
- Orthostatic Hypotension
- Syncope/fainting (in conjunction with Heart & Vascular)
- Sweating Disorders
- Complex regional pain syndrome (in conjunction with Pain Management)
- Interstitial Cystitis (in conjunction with Urology)
- Pelvic Pain (in conjuction with GYN and Pain Management)
- Multiple System atrophy
- Postural Ortostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) (in conjuction with Cardiology)
