University Hospitals Otis Moss Jr. Health Center

Mission: To Heal. To Teach. To Discover. in a spiritually supportive environment.

The UH Otis Moss Jr. Health Center is a unique partnership formed between University Hospitals and The Olivet Institutional Baptist church in 1997. The center is designed to meet the medical, health education, spiritual and psychological needs of the communities we serve.

Located in the heart of the Fairfax Community of Greater Cleveland, this center has two major wings " a multispecialty medical practice and a health and education institute. Medical Director of the center is Carla Harwell, MD, and the President is Dr. Otis Moss Jr. of the Olivet Housing and Community Development Corporation.

This center has piloted many innovative efforts at engaging the surrounding community in the private practice model supported by an academic medical center and large black Baptist church. Additionally, the Health and Wellness/Education Institute has engaged the community in healthy lifestyles, fasting and prayer.
