Special Olympics
Special Olympics is the world’s largest program of athletic training and competition for individuals who are mentally or developmentally challenges. To be eligible, an athelete must be:
- an individual who is mentally or developmentally challenged
- eight years old or over
- be a member of a local Special Olympics organization

Dancing Wheels
Dancing Wheels is a professional dance company incorporating both standing (traditional) and sitting (wheelchair) dancers. In addition to professional performances and touring, the company also offers dance classes to children and adults of all ability levels. Community dance classes include children as young as 4 years. The facilities are fully accessible, and the staff are certified in exercise science.

The Center for Therapy Through Arts
This Center is dedicated to providing therapeutic art programs to encourage the healing power of art. They offer a hospital-based program at MetroHealth medical center, and programs at the Fairhill Center and Ursuline Educational Center. Special programs focus on children with autism or severe behavioral disorders, emotional disturbances, or brain injuries. A program to “discover the artist in you” focuses on all people with disabilities.
