Pancreatic cancers are managed by a multidisciplinary team of gastroenterologists, radiologists, surgical oncologists, pathologists, medical and radiation oncologists, and others. Each patient's case is presented at weekly tumor boards where participating team members share their expertise to reach a consensus for treatment. The UH Ireland Cancer Center has also established a support group, "Life After the Whipple," for patients who have undergone surgery for cancer of the pancreas.
