Volunteer Application Process
Applications may be mailed, faxed, or brought in to our office. You can download and print the University Hospitals Volunteer Application by clicking here (PDF document).
Prospective volunteers are required to:
- Complete an application for volunteering.
- Have an interview with Volunteer Services Department staff.
- Complete a PPD/tuberculosis test at no cost to the volunteer.
- Some areas require additional testing.
- Attend a new volunteer orientation.
- Provide two professional references.
- Volunteers with direct patient contact will also be fingerprinted as a part of their background screening.
This process may take one month or more depending on your availability.
