The expert team at University Hospitals Eye Institute serves the vision care needs of the entire family with services that are available at several convenient locations.

You do not need a referral to see any of our physicians.

Our services include:

  • Performing routine eye examinations
  • Administering diagnostic testing, including employer required vision screening
  • Diagnosing and treating simple vision disorders such as allergic conjunctivitis, pink eye, dry eye and red eye management to complex disorders such as cornea problems, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration
  • Caring for vision conditions requiring surgery, both in- and out-patient
  • Electroretinography (ERG), which measures the electrical responses of various cells in the retina, is used in diagnosing various retinal diseases.
  • Highly specialized surgical and new procedures for glaucoma
    • Trabectome - a less invasive and less risky procedure that can be an excellent alternative to traditional surgery for select patients
    • Canaloplasty - enhances drainage from the eye using a stent
  • Screening and dispensing contact lenses
  • Screening and performing refractive surgery (LASIK)

Our physicians are board certified and are part of the full-time faculty in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Case Western Reserve University.
