Multiple Myeloma Expertise at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center

Cancer specialists at UH Seidman Cancer Center in Cleveland are experts in the diagnosis, treatment and management of multiple myeloma, a cancer that affects plasma cells. Because multiple myeloma affects the immune system, our myeloma specialists determine the best treatment path based on individual needs and how the disease may have led to other issues, including anemia, bone or kidney issues.

From diagnosis through treatment and ongoing myeloma management, including stem cell transplant if necessary, the same clinical team directs and follows each patient’s care. Whether the patient is in the hospital or at home, the myeloma care team helps them through treatment and any issues that may arise in response to clinical therapies.

Personalized Treatment Plans for Myeloma Management

Our myeloma team, led by national experts in cancers of the blood, works collaboratively as part of the hematologic malignancy tumor board to discuss each patient’s treatment plan. Using state-of-the-art technology and the most targeted therapies, the entire team determines each phase of the plan for myeloma management. Myeloma treatment plans may include:
