Why I chose UH Regional: This is a unique program with the resources to support each resident’s individualized interests within family medicine. Training experiences at UH Regional include a variety of community hospital settings supported by open access to a large academic medical center, UH Cleveland Medical Center, which has allowed me to uniquely tailor my experiences and become better equipped for life after residency. At UH Regional there is strong dedication to resident education by all levels of administration and Dr. Leone strives to create a sense of togetherness amongst the Residency Program.
My wife is from Akron so as a non-native Clevelander I have truly enjoyed my time in Northeast Ohio (except January and February). The area is highlighted by the great people, food, art, culture, and outdoor recreation. For a place that is buried under snow for what seems like a good part of the year, there is no shortage of active people looking to have a good time.
Favorite Quote: “Would I rather be feared or loved? Easy, both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me.” – Michael Gary Scott

Feng Zhao, DO

Personal Interests/Hobbies: Spending time with family, traveling, hiking, cooking. We are always finding new places to explore in Northeast Ohio.
Why I chose UH Regional: Friendly, collegial atmosphere amongst residents, attendings, staff and opportunities to personalize your residency training. One of the few training program with adults and pediatric rotations in tertiary care, community and critical access sites.
Favorite Quote: “Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves. Do not now seek the answers which cannot be given because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the question now. Perhaps you will then, gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answers.” – Ranier Maria Rilke
