Barbara Baetz-Greenwalt, MD, MBA
International Health Track Director
Dr. Barbara Baetz-Greenwalt directs the International Health Pediatric Residency Track. She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University, and works in the Infectious Disease division at Rainbow. Dr. Baetz-Greenwalt attended CASE School of Medicine. She completed her training in Pediatrics at the Cleveland Clinic with a sub-speciality in Anesthesia at University Hospitals of Cleveland. She then did a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Cleveland MetroHealth. She also has a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Weatherhead School of Business and a certificate of Advanced Training in Telemedicine from the East Carolina School of Medicine. Her main interests are pediatric infectious disease, pediatric travel and tropical medecine, international child health and telemedicine.
Arlene Dent, MD, PhD
International Health Track Co-Director
Dr. Arlene Dent attended Indiana University for her undergraduate and graduate degrees. During medical school she had the opportunity to work in Cameroon where her interest in international health began. She trained in Pediatrics in Cincinnati Children's Hospital where her interest in international health took her to Honduras and Thailand. She finished her fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Rainbow in 2005. Through her Peds ID Fellowship she had the opportunity to work in Kenya, Uganda and Papua New Guinea. Presently, she is a Postdoctoral fellow in the Center for Global Health and Diseases and Infectious Diseases. Her research interest is pediatric immunity to malaria. Dr. Dent co-directs the International Health Pediatric Residency Track at Rainbow.
Eva Holsinger, MD

Dr. Eva Holsinger graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and trained in Pediatrics at Akron Children's Hospital. She joined the RCGCH in 2003 where she is a fellow in International Health. She co-directs the Cleveland International course on Humanitarian Emergencies. Dr. Holsinger has extensive experience working in Latin American countries and is particularly interested in refugee children and gender-based violence.
Denise Bothe, MD

Dr. Denise Bothe received her medical degree from the SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse and trained in Pediatrics at Albany Medical Center. She volunteered for six months in Kenya and worked as a general pediatrician before joining the RCGCH as a fellow in Behavioral and Developmental Pediatrics with special interest in international health.

John Kennell, M.D. is Professor of Pediatrics Emeritus who, with Dr. Marshall Klaus, did world renowned basic infant bonding studies at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. He continues research studies on doulas, companions to women in labor. Much of his research has been done in collaboration with colleagues in Latin America. Dr. Kennell teaches nationally and internationally, and provides consultation to the Rainbow Center for Global Child Health.
