At Rainbow, we pride ourselves on providing our residents with outstanding educational and clinical experiences that prepare them for exciting careers in Pediatrics.
Our residents get unrivaled clinical education providing medical care for patients at our state-of-the-art hospital as well as in a wide variety of ambulatory settings. This “at the bedside” clinical experience is augmented by a variety of interactive, didactic and experiential educational offerings. There are daily conferences on patient management issues and core curricular material. Educational workshops and seminars provide in-depth experiences on topics such as career planning, life-long learning, communication skills, performance improvement, team leadership and teaching skills. Research opportunities are readily available to our residents guided by faculty involved in a broad range of NIH supported basic science and clinical research areas that directly impact child health and disease.
We recognize that the training of future generations of clinical and academic pediatricians is a great responsibility and the entire faculty embraces this challenge with great enthusiasm. Our faculty's personal interest in our residents' education creates a collegial atmosphere that helps residents build their knowledge, develop independence and maximize their clinical competence in a supportive atmosphere.
