Psychology

Pediatric psychologists are available to assist with the management of the stress and other emotional and behavioral problems that can often accompany chronic illness. Sometimes these issues affect patients themselves, while at other times, siblings and parents or caregivers are in need of support.

Sometimes the diagnosis of an illness can worsen problems that you have already been dealing with, such as anxiety, depression, or oppositional behaviors.

Our pediatric psychologists can also evaluate school or learning concerns, conduct neurodevelopmental evaluations, and can assist with educational planning.

Dr. Jennifer Anderson works primarily with children, teens, and families affected by diagnosis or treatment of cancer, sickle cell disease, hemophilia, or another blood disorder.
