This site is home to three important initiatives, housed at Rainbow:
- The Pediatric Specialty Team Ohio
This is a collaborative effort to support disaster preparedness by the six free standing children’s hospitals of Ohio. The group is lead by Rainbow Pediatric Intensive Care Physician, Dr Michael Anderson.
- The National Commission on Children and Disasters
This section of our web site describes this important commission and is an opportunity for Dr Anderson to gather public opinion on topics that the commission should cover.
- The International Health and Disaster Initiative
The Center was created in 1987 by Dr. Karen Olness, who is recognized as a world leader in the fields of global child health, pediatric disaster relief and behavioral pediatrics. Learn more
