Primary Care Sports Medicine Conference
– weekly conference focussing initially on exposure to musculoskeletal exam and providing sideline care for athletes. Topics broaden to then encompass material with a focus for Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) preparation. Mini-seminars will include “The Physician as Teacher” and “Coding and Billing.”
Pediatric Fellows Conference
– Monthly conference to provide exposure to relevant areas for all physicians including: ethics, preparing research projects and negotiating the IRB, and development.
Pediatric Orthopaedic Clinical Conference
– weekly conference reviewing radiographic findings of all pre-operative and post-operative cases for Pediatric Orthopaedics.
Orthopaedic Grand Rounds
– weekly conferences through Department of Orthopaedics focussing on evidence-based medicine of Orthopaedics, review of “hot topics”, and basic sciences.
Pediatric Grand Rounds
– weekly conference through Department of Pediatrics addressing emerging issues in the field, reviewing areas of interest to sub-specialists, and illuminating evidence-based medicine.
Sports Medicine Journal Club
– Quarterly meetings with fellows and Primary Care Sports Medicine Attendings to discuss “hot topics”.
